Taking the pastel art out of its shipping sleeve:
The plastic sleeve does very minimal contact to the art just like the glass in a frame would. As long as its behind either, it’s going to be just fine. The main goal is to pull the art out without sliding it against the plastic. If this does happen, you’ll notice, very minimal to no smudging. You may also just cut the sleeve as if you’re opening an envelope with an envelope cutter; just through one side. There are a few ways but here’s one way I go about this:
